Parker Neu to Lead Traverse City West Girls Basketball

Traverse City West Senior High School has announced the appointment of Parker Neu as the new head coach for the girls' varsity basketball team! Neu is a 2020 West graduate who played college basketball at Alpena Community College and Grace Christian University from 2020 to 2024. He has been a part of the West staff, serving as an assistant coach with both the boys’ and girls’ varsity programs, head freshmen girls’ coach, and working with the Hoopology Summer Academy.“Parker brings a positive energy to our program and is a great role model for student-athletes,” said Jason Carmien, Athletic Director. “We look forward to the 2025-26 season under his leadership.”

Libby Shutler to Lead Traverse City West Girls Cross Country

Traverse City West Senior High School is excited to announce the hiring of Libby Shutler as the new head coach for the girls' cross country team.Coach Shutler is a familiar face at West, as she also serves as the head coach for Alpine Ski and Girls' Varsity Track."Libby brings a wealth of experience to this role and we look forward to continued success under her leadership," said Athletic Director Jason Carmien.The Titans are coming off a successful season as the defending Big North Conference and MHSAA Regional Champions. We are thrilled for the season to get underway and look forward to the team's continued success under Coach Shutler's leadership.

Greg Gagnon Named Head Coach for Traverse City West Girls Golf

Traverse City West Senior High School is pleased to announce that Greg Gagnon will be the new head coach for the girls' golf team.Coach Gagnon is no stranger to the program, having served as an assistant coach for the girls' team from 2017 to 2022. He also brings valuable head coaching experience from his time with the boys' varsity golf program in 2023."We are excited for the upcoming fall season and look forward to future success under Greg’s leadership," said Athletic Director Jason Carmien.Beyond his coaching roles, Gagnon is deeply involved in the local golf community as a staff member with the Traverse City Junior Golf Association.We look forward to a successful season under his leadership!

Wednesday Girls Soccer and Boys LAX events have been cancelled due to weather. No make up date has been set for girls soccer. Boys LAX vs. Sault Ste. Marie has been rescheduled for Friday April 4th with a 6 pm start at Thirlby Field.
